As part of its vision, the Lebanese Medical Association for Sexual Health (LebMASH) works with students to raise their awareness and develop their capacities on sexual health and healthcare with no discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation or gender identity.
On March 20-21 2015, LebMASH in cooperation with LeMSIC group, conducted a 2-day training workshop for medical students and psychology graduates, coming from different universities in Lebanon mainly AUB, BAU, LAU, UOB and USJ. It was titled: Providing Healthcare to Diverse Population workshop. The age range of the participants is from 19 23 and this is important for the background differences and their maturity and professional maturity enriching the workshop outputs and meeting its objectives.

The participants feedback came to be positive and in agreement on LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) health issues, as well as they all expressed the importance of what they learned on how to deal with the LGBT community at their clinics and in the hospitals.
The sessions were implemented by medical doctors with a diversity of the topics.
LebMASH will be implementing this annual workshop next March 2016 with LeMSIC.
The costs of the workshop were covered by the board members of LebMASH as personal donations.
We are very thankful to all who supported us during preparing and implementing the workshop.
