Dr. Brigitte Khoury will be the recipient of LebMASH’s Leader in LGBT Healthcare Equality Award.
LebMASH decided to start this yearly award program in 2015 to recognize individual health care providers, clinics, or organizations that demonstrate excellence in affirmative care of LGBT individuals.
We are proud to present the first award to Dr. Khoury in acknowledgment of her lifelong commitment to LGBT rights in general and LGBT health specifically. We also would like to acknowledge the instrumental role that she played in the release of the landmark statements by the Lebanese Psychiatric Society and the Lebanese Psychological Association on homosexuality in May 2013.
