Samy holds a French Nursing State Diploma (2009), a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2009) and a Master of Science in Nursing (2013) from St. Joseph University in Beirut. He works, since 2009, with independent and dependent elderly people as well as with trauma victims requiring physical rehabilitation. He joined the Faculty of Nursing at USJ as a lecturer (2013) and a research assistant (2014). He received two support grants to present his research findings in the 5th and 6th International Conferences of Francophone Nurses (Geneva, 2012 & Montreal, 2015). He joined LebMASH in September 2016 to deepen his knowledge about LGBT health, a topic he will be focusing on during his doctoral studies in nursing starting the fall of 2017.
